Harbor Works Gallery
Harbor Works Gallery is a non-profit, seasonal exhibit space specializing in documentary photography. Located in the north wing of the historic Holbrook-Trufant house, the Gallery takes inspiration from its surroundings and strives to address themes that engage traditional, resource-based communities. Focusing particularly on life and work in coastal and island communities, the Gallery will feature two exhibits each summer, displaying the work of established and emerging visual artists who are storytellers of productive landscapes and seascapes. Presenting both images and transcripts of oral history, each artist will take viewers to a particular place and time, revealing the unique experiences of those whose stories are seldom told.
Harbor Works Gallery is open by appointment year round; call 207-841-9812. Admission is free.
